The Brief

Another rewarding whole-home renovation and extension project with the team at Trademark Renovations, this Knoxfield property required a complete suite of custom joinery across the kitchen, pantry, laundry, vanities, and walk-in robe. With the home heading to auction, the brief was clear: every space needed to feel connected, considered, and immediately appealing to prospective buyers — a home that presents beautifully from the moment you walk through the door.

The Design

The defining characteristic of this renovation is its cohesion. A carefully selected palette of materials and hardware — Laminex Bayleaf, warm whites, Polytec Boston Oak Woodmatt, Stone Ambassador White Truffle, and Bayside Luxe 'The Toorak' handles in Satin Brass — carries through every room in the home, appearing in different combinations and applications to suit each space while maintaining an unbroken visual thread throughout.

The kitchen is the centrepiece. Tesrol Design 5026 profile doors finished in 30% satin polyurethane, colour-matched to both Laminex Bayleaf and Dulux Lexicon Quarter, deliver a finish that sits somewhere between the warmth of a natural tone and the crispness of a contemporary white — a combination that feels fresh and considered in equal measure. Stone Ambassador White Truffle benchtops run throughout the kitchen, and Bayside Luxe 'The Toorak' handles in Satin Brass add a refined, luxurious accent that ties the joinery into the home's broader hardware selections.

The pantry takes a more open approach, with a combination of Laminex Bayleaf Flint Lamiwood and whiteboard open shelving alongside White Truffle benchtops — practical and visually connected to the kitchen without simply repeating it. The laundry continues the Bayleaf Flint Lamiwood alongside Polytec Polar White Matt melamine for the cabinetry, with Polytec Boston Oak Woodmatt laminate benchtops introducing warmth and texture to the space. The same Satin Brass Toorak handles appear here too, maintaining the hardware consistency that runs throughout the home.

In the master ensuite and bathroom, Polytec Boston Oak Woodmatt takes centre stage for the vanity cabinetry — rich, warm, and beautifully suited to a bathroom environment. White Truffle benchtops and Satin Brass handles complete both spaces, echoing the kitchen and laundry and ensuring the material story lands consistently right through to the most private rooms in the home.

The Result

A whole-home renovation that presents with the confidence and coherence of a professionally interior-designed property — because it is. Every material decision, every hardware selection, every surface tells the same story. This Knoxfield home is a compelling example of what thoughtful, coordinated joinery design can do for a property's appeal — at auction or otherwise.
