Kitchen Renovation Plus Glen Iris

The Project

Undertaking a major renovation of their Glen Iris family home I was introduced to our client & her designer Sonya Richards through Cameron of SE Bathrooms.  In short the entire ground floor of the property was to be renovated including new floors throughout.

The design did have some challenges as there are quite a few solid brick walls within the spaces which were all load bearing to the upstairs area of their home but working through a few alternatives I feel it all came together for a stunning final result.

The kitchen, pantry, laundry, study & living room joinery all finished in Satin Polyurethane in a mix of Dulux Natural Grain & Lexicon Quarter  while the Mud Room was finished in Dulux Pipe Clay with a mix of flat face & Tesrol 5026 profiled doors.  All joinery featuring either Castella ‘Clements’ handles in Brushed Brass, finger pull for opening or push to open systems.  Polytec Maison Oak Ravine features throughout the renovation as both feature floating shelves and also the desk and bookshelves to the study area.  After looking into a few alternatives the decision was made to use Natural Marble for both the kitchen & laundry benchtops and also for the kitchen splashback.  This was completed by Melbourne Marble & Granite in Volakas Gold Marble sourced from Gladstones Granite.
