The Brief

A new home fit-out with the team at KBS Developments, this Avonsleigh project called for a complete suite of custom joinery across the entire house, ready for handover to our clients. The scope covered the kitchen, butler's pantry, hallway storage, laundry, home office, master walk-in robe and three individual vanity cabinets; a genuinely whole-home undertaking. And for anyone wondering about those sweeping rural views through the windows, no, they're not AI generated. They're exactly what greets this family every morning.

The Design

With views like these and timber floors this beautiful already doing plenty of the talking, the brief called for a palette that would stay out of the way rather than compete; simple, clean and bright throughout. A combination of Polytec Classic White Matt and Polytec Tasmanian Oak Woodmatt runs through every room, giving each space its own character while keeping the whole home connected.

The kitchen is a bright, elevated space built around that view, with a large island bench, full-height cabinetry and a servery connection through to the butler's pantry, which handles the everyday mess with its own sink, prep bench and open shelving tucked just out of sight. The laundry mirrors this same clean, functional approach, with generous bench space, built-in linen storage and direct access out to the deck. The home office makes the most of a long run of under-bench storage and a built-in desk, finished in Polytec Snow Fabrini rather than the stone used elsewhere, a practical point of difference for a hardworking work-from-home space.

Caesarstone Frosty Carrina benchtops tie the kitchen, butler's pantry, laundry and vanities together with a soft, marble-look finish, while Stefano Orlati handles in Brushed Nickel provide a consistent, understated hardware detail throughout the home. The master walk-in robe takes a slightly different approach, with the same Stefano Orlati handle in a Matt White finish for a seamless, monolithic look against the white cabinetry.

The three vanities introduce the only real contrast in the home, with floating Tasmanian Oak Woodmatt cabinetry, round vessel basins and integrated underlighting bringing warmth against the crisp white walls and tiling. The master ensuite's double vanity is finished with a full-width, three-panel mirrored cabinet and a swing-arm magnifying mirror, a considered, hotel-style touch for the everyday morning routine.

The Result

A genuinely cohesive whole-home fit-out, delivered ready for handover. From the working end of the house to the most personal corners of it, every space carries the same calm, considered palette, letting the home's real star, that view, take centre stage.
