The Project
Working with a few limitations in this Melbourne apartment kitchen renovation our clients wanted to bring some colour into their home along with making the most out of the available space. Although the dimensions of the kitchen are almost identical the use of an integrated fridge and even adding a small pantry with the Kessebohmer Dispensa supplied by Hafele the rear wall of the kitchen now feels clean and more spacious.
By installing the oven & hotplate off centre this gives our clients one larger practical space for food preparation rather than two small areas and this was finished with Grey Tint toughened mirror and Loox 5 LED strip lighting by Hafele while the About Space ‘Ashton’ pendant was installed over the island bench.
The joinery finished in a combination of Laminex Denim Natural with Polytec Tasmanian Oak Woodmatt to the end and rear of the island and Zenith White Truffle benchtops by Stone Ambassador installed by Melbourne Marble & Granite which we also used as a small splashback to the end of the island. Stefano Orlati Titanium Grey handles were chosen tying in with the Grey Tint mirror and our clients appliances and all upper joinery either finger pull or push to open.
