Kitchen Renovation Project
Needing to keep to the existing kitchen footprint as our clients were retaining both the tiled & timber floors the main design brief was to have a white kitchen with black accents which was achieved using Polytec Polar White Matt for the joinery fronts and Titus Tekforms Stefano Orlati Matt Black handles which tied in with their new black appliances. The other annoyance with their existing kitchen was the dropped down breakfast bar. This restricted their preparation space while working in the kitchen and they wanted somewhere more comfortable for their guests & grandchildren to sit when visiting.
The decision was made to build a single level return benchtop which was finished in Formica Flint Crystal Velour laminated benchtops with square edges and rounded corners for safety. This along with the toughened glass splashback finished in Dulux Endless Dusk adds some warmth back into the kitchen space which still needed to tie into the existing features of their home.
